We are a growing ecological consultancy based in Tidworth, providing specialist advice and survey services to clients across southern England and Wales. Our work spans habitat assessments, protected species surveys, environmental impact assessments, tree surveys, landscape planning and biodiversity net gain calculations.

The role
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Office Administrator/Bookkeeper to be the backbone of our day-to-day operations. This is a varied, hands-on role that will keep our busy consultancy running smoothly - from managing diaries and fielding client enquiries to supporting our ecologists with project coordination, bookkeeping and invoicing.
Key responsibilities
Answering telephone and email enquiries, acting as the first point of contact for clients and subcontractors
Managing director and team calendars, scheduling site visits and meetings
Preparing quotes, invoices, and purchase orders using our project management and accounts software (XERO)
Support the Financial Director
Maintaining accurate records, databases, and filing systems (digital and physical)
Supporting report production - formatting, proofreading, and issuing documents to clients
Assisting with procurement of survey equipment and consumables
Coordinating staff travel and accommodation bookings
General office management duties including supplier liaison and maintaining office supplies
Supporting marketing activities such as updating the website and social media (desirable, not essential)
About You
Demonstrable experience in an administrative or office management role
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook); and Xero
A positive, can-do attitude and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team
An interest in the natural environment or sustainability is warmly welcomed, though not required
