Wessex Ecology is an independent ecological consultancy providing planning-focused surveys, reports and on-site support across the Wessex region and Greater London.
We are a growing team of ecologists, arboriculturists and technical specialists who value clear thinking, proportionate advice and good communication. Our work spans a wide range of projects, from small householder developments to complex commercial and rural schemes.

Current opportunities
We do not always advertise specific vacancies, but we are happy to hear from experienced ecologists and arboricultural professionals who feel their skills would be a good fit for our work.
This may include:
Ecologists with experience in planning-led surveys and reporting
Licensed bat, great crested newt or dormouse ecologists
Arboricultural consultants familiar with BS5837
Seasonal or freelance surveyors
Graduate and early-career roles
From time to time, we may offer opportunities for graduates or early-career ecologists to gain experience supporting surveys, reporting and fieldwork.
